Found it!

Couldn't find the "Blog" today...

Didn't have a clue what password I'd used yesterday either.

Now have sorted out technical details, looking forward to using this.

Last night I was thinking about decision making... My life has taken huge twists and turns that I never put a ot of thought into. I was younger and consequences weren't all that clear. The end results would only affect me, so what did I have to loose.

I've been watching a Tv show that has families on it this morning and all the people featured had all these other family members involved in their lives. I can see how that could certainly have it's draw backs, but also wish deep down that I had that kind of support.

I'm pretty much alone here, I have 3 children and a husband, but alone with them is what I would say.

Holidays are just us, birthdays are a little better for the kids... they can invite friends over etc. Mine passes without much celebration. I've never really thought about this much, but this year it did hurt a bit. I worked the night before and the night of my birthday. I told co-workers and a few patients that it was myt birthday and a couple of weeks later cared for a man that had tried to kill himself on my birthday. (He was totally over the suicide attempt by now, and even got quiet as if he felt a little bad about it. I decided this was not a bad thing)

The thing about birthdays is that they mark the years gone by. This year is VERY emotional for me... it marks the 20th year that I have lived in the US.

October 4th 1987 was the day that I came to CT.

I've never been home.

I have 3 sisters that I'd love to see there, and an Aunt and cousins.

There are people there that would be in my life, like on my Birthday.

I'd probably have a party. Cook the two or three things I make well.

  • Quessedilias
  • Pasta-a-la-compania (this is obviously not how you spell it but who cares it's delicious)

I'll post the recipes later.... (remind me)

Planning and getting ready is something I'd do weeks in advance... excitedly thinking about it all the time.

Cleaning the house and getting things ready.... I'd love it!

*~*~Quesedilias~*~*

You will need... (I'll be so embarassed if everone in the world knows this and I thought I was special)

Tortillias

Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing (It's a packet of powder that say Add milk on it.)

Salsa - I'm not a fan of chunky, but Mild or Hot is your prefference.

Monterey Jack shredded cheese (2 Cups)

1 Cup of Mayonaise.

Now... mix them all together and spread them on the the Tortillias. (Am I spelling that right?)

Put on baking sheet and spread a bit of oil on top (forgot to say you use two tortillias and make a sandwhich... am I crap at this ot what?)

Put under broiler untill brown.

Really are good... wil sour cream and more salsa.

I'm going to find a spot in m y garden for eggplants... we don't eat them but they are so cool. Maybe will give them to someone at work if they grow.

The Bridge Tea Room.

I found this pic online today... my blog is a Tea Room.
My name is Brigitte. (Always hate it when people put a 'd' in it, or God forbid, call me Bridget!
More on that later...
What's good on a tea room? Just a nice cup with a Cheese and Onion Savoury Pastry (anyone with a recipe and extreemly detailed instruction... you know where to send them!
Maybe this first 'blog' should be a list. (If I don't notice and fix all typos then I'm sorry, OK?)
